Whose side am I on?
A question that has been brought up a couple of times is “Whose side am I on?”
People ask this in relation to the previous fractionalization of the board. Do I support Denis Fitzgerald and his team, or do I support Roy Spagnolo and the 3P team? Or am I aligned with the ParraFirst ticket from 2013 onwards? I believe it’s time to leave those factions and their actions in the past.
Through all those times I considered Alan Overton a friend and role model and always found him to be considerate of the fans and members.
The truth is I am on your side. I am on the side of long suffering Parramatta Eels supporters that have done it tough for over 40 years. I am on the side of elite football being part of the Parramatta way. I am on the side of Parramatta fulfilling its intentions of promoting rugby league in the Parramatta district.
We all know what peak rugby league can do. We just have to look at our neighbors to see how winning football brings people to a winning club. We had a great deal of winning football in the past. It’s time to get winning football back at Parramatta.
